The great baritone Renato Bruson turns 76 years old today. Here he is heard with Mirella Freni, Plácido Domingo, and Nicolai Ghiaurov in the Act III finale from Ernani. The production opened the 1983–84 La Scala season. Riccardo Muti conducts.
